Ultimate Guide to Black Friday Tool Sales 2024

Black Friday is here and that means stuff is on sale, and as a woodworker my eyes are on the tools. I’ve scoured the internet to find the 10 best deals you can grab this week to begin or upgrade your tool collections. The first deal is at Home Depot and it’s the Milwaukee 7 tool combo kit. This has everything you need for your basic tool set. Drill, impact, oscillating tool, circular saw, saws all, light, grinder, and 2 batteries with a charger. This deal is for $499 saving you a ton of money off the typical sticker price of $999. The next deal changes colors and goes from the red team to the yellow and black team as we look at the DeWalt 12″ miter saw. This miter saw comes as a combo with a miter saw stand and will cost you just $399 for the pair. This miter saw is typically $499 with the stand usually costing you another $299 for bring home with you. The next tool is another DeWalt workhorse and that’s their job site table saw. This is a tool that it paramount to any workshop and a great alternative option for beginners who don’t have the money to spend on a cabinet saw. Many people will build their out feed tables with a little shelf in them for the job site table saw to sit on so it acts like a bigger saw than it is. This saw is on sale for $299, $100 off the sticker price.

The next deal is actually a combo option. At Lowes you can find these combo options for DeWalt, the first option being you purchase some batteries and you are able to choose a free tool from a list of available tools. The 2nd option is to buy a 4 tool combo kit and you’ll be able to choose 2 tools from the previously mentioned list. The first option with the batteries will cost you $199, while the 4 tool combo with the 2 bonus tools will be a $449 hit to the account. Check out the options in the image below.

The next tool saving is something for not just woodworkers and carpenters but homeowners as well. Lowes has the little giant multi use ladder on sale this week at $99, which is $70 off the regular retail price. This is a ladder can act as an A frame or an extension ladder that you can lean on the wall. This is a quality ladder and will provide you with many options.

Back to the power tools we are looking at Amazon for this deal. The DeWalt battery powered palm router is on sale for $149, from its original $239. This is a great deal on a great tool. This router is durable and has a safety feature that stops the bit once you turn off the router compared to others that will allow the bit to continue to spin. This is a great deal on this tool. The next tool is great for those who are handymen or carpenters who trim out houses. The DeWalt battery powered hand planer is a great tool. We leave the big box stores and head over to the discount king of the tool world, Harbor Freight. They have a storage piece on sale that would be great for your shop if you’re looking for a little extra storage. They have a 30″ 5 drawer mechanics cart on sale for $189 compared to the typical $279. This is a great way to had some functional storage for a shop.

The next one is one of my favorite tools I currently own and I highly recommend any woodworker get one of these at some point in your woodworking journey. The Kreg Track saw is a fantastic tool. Now it’s the only track saw I’ve owned so maybe the others are better, but I can tell you a track saw is a worth while investment. It saves so much time and helps you make less mistakes. This tool is definitely more focused towards the professional woodworker that is looking to upgrade their shop. The Jet 8″ jointer is on sale for about $500 off, bringing the price down from $2499 to $1999. This is a big boy tool and is a pretty penny, but Jet is a very trusted brand and the large jointers are great to work with. *Picture below is smaller version**

The final tool deal that you should jump on this week is for those getting started or the homeowner who needs that extra tool, but doesn’t want to break the bank. The final deal is the Ryobi 6 tool combo set that is down from $249 to $199. The $199 will get you 6 tools that are all but necessary for any small handyman/woodworkers tool box.
